The Problem with Traditional Energy Audits

Traditional energy audits are expensive and are delayed due to requirement of switching off equipment to install an energy meter. Portable power loggers cost $8,000–$15,000 (₹6.6–12.5 lakh) to buy or $200–$400 (₹17,000–33,000) per week to rent. They require trained technicians to install, collect data for a few weeks, then get removed — leaving you blind again.

Titan Audit changes the equation. It deploys as fast as a portable logger but stays as long as you need it — weeks, months, or permanently. At a fraction of the cost, anyone on your facilities team can install it.

Non-Invasive Energy Audits Without Plant Shutdown

Titan Audit is a non-invasive, clamp-on energy logger built for factories, plants and commercial sites that can't afford to switch off the line for a meter installation. The split-core current transformers clip around live cables without breaking the circuit — no shutdown, no permit-to-work, no electrician callout, no production loss.

Where a fixed energy meter requires a circuit isolation to install, a clamp-on energy logger like Titan Audit goes live in under five minutes on a running line. That makes it the default tool for energy auditors, BEE-empanelled assessors, plant engineers running an ISO 50001 audit without disrupting production, and ESCO teams establishing a baseline before a performance contract kicks in.

  • Clamp-on, split-core CTs — clip around existing cables without breaking the circuit. Sizes 10A to 1000A available.
  • No plant shutdown required — install on a live circuit in 2-5 minutes. Production keeps running.
  • Facilities-team installable — Mode 2 needs only a power socket and clamp; no licensed electrician required.
  • Voltage + current data logger — full energy parameters (V, I, P, PF, kWh, kVARh, harmonics) on the same device when Mode 1 voltage taps are connected, or current-only profile when running off a socket.
  • Leave it installed — unlike a portable logger that ships out after the audit, Titan Audit can stay on the circuit indefinitely for continuous monitoring on the Energy Intelligence Platform.

Common deployments: factory energy audits, ISO 50001 baselines, BEE PAT compliance, ESCO M&V baselines, tenant sub-billing studies, and circuit-level investigations where shutting down the line is not negotiable.

How It Works

Two operating modes for two different audit jobs — and a five-step install that doesn't need an electrician.

Titan App audit workflow — PDF report generation from the phone
Mode 1

Full Energy Metering

Connect voltage sensing leads to the load and clamp split-core CTs around the phase cables. Titan Audit measures voltage, current, power, energy, power factor, harmonics — the full parameter set.

Mode 2

Current Logger (Socket Powered)

Plug the meter into any standard power socket for auxiliary power and clamp the CTs around the cables you want to monitor. The meter logs current, calculates amperage profiles, and tracks on/off cycles — ideal for quick equipment runtime audits where full voltage sensing isn't needed.

No battery required in audit mode. Titan Audit is either socket-powered (Mode 2) or powered directly from the metered circuit's voltage leads (Mode 1) — so there's no battery to charge, no battery life to degrade over time, and no mid-audit power failures. Unlike portable power loggers that ship with rechargeable batteries lasting 6–8 hours, Titan Audit runs indefinitely.

5-Step Installation

  1. 1

Clamp the split-core CTs around the conductors — no disconnection required

  2. 2

Connect voltage leads to the load, or simply plug the meter into a nearby socket

  3. 3

Open the Titan App on your smartphone and connect over WiFi

  4. 4

The meter starts logging immediately — view live data on your phone from a safe distance

  5. 5

When the audit is done, generate a PDF report from the app — or leave it installed for continuous monitoring

When to choose a portable logger

You need Class A power quality diagnostics with waveform capture and transient recording for short-term investigations.

When to choose Titan Audit

You need permanent or semi-permanent energy monitoring at scale, energy audits with cloud-based reporting, or ongoing M&V at a fraction of the cost.

Titan Audit — AC Current Logger, Voltage & Current Data Logger

Different teams call it different things. To an electrical contractor it's a current logger or current data logger— something that clamps on a conductor and records amperage over time. To an energy auditor it's an AC current logger paired with voltage sensing — a voltage and current logger producing full kW, kVA, PF and kWh measurements.

Titan Audit is both. In Current Logger mode it measures amperage on up to three phases with split-core CTs at 100 A / 200 A / 400 A / 800 A — useful for checking equipment runtime, identifying compressor short-cycling, or building a baseline ampere profile on a feeder without any voltage connection. In full voltage + current mode it becomes a utility-grade Class 0.5S 3-phase electrical data logger with harmonics to the 31st order and cloud-connected data export.

Unlike most portable clamp-on current loggers which are single-channel with SD-card downloads and ~1-hour post-processing for reports, Titan Audit is a 3-phase electrical data logger that sends data live to the cloud via WiFi or Ethernet, and generates PDF reports from the phone app without a laptop.

For the classic handheld clamp-meter use case (spot-check a single circuit for an hour), Titan Audit is overkill. For multi-week audits, permanent M&V, or tenant sub-billing after the audit closes — it's the only current-and-voltage data logger in India that does all three without a hardware swap-out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eight common questions about Titan Audit's deployment, modes, and reporting.

Both share Class 0.5S accuracy and the same measurement engine. Titan uses permanent CTs for fixed installation. Titan Audit uses split-core clamp-on CTs for zero-downtime deployment — temporary or permanent.
No. Split-core CTs clamp around existing cables. Installation takes 2 minutes with zero downtime. No electrician required.
Yes. The Titan App generates PDF audit reports locally on your phone from the meter's stored data. No cloud connection or subscription needed for audit mode.
Portable loggers cost 10–20x more, require trained technicians, and provide only temporary data. Titan Audit deploys equally fast, costs a fraction, and can be left permanently.
Yes. Mode 2 (current logger) only requires plugging into a power socket and clamping CTs — no voltage connections needed.
A power logger records voltage, current, power factor, harmonics, and energy consumption over time. Titan Audit offers the same capability but as a permanent or temporary installation at a fraction of the cost of traditional portable loggers.
Yes. At a fraction of the cost of portable loggers, Titan Audit can be left on every circuit for continuous monitoring. Connect it to the Energy Intelligence Platform for ongoing cloud analytics.
Class 0.5S for active energy, Class 1 for reactive energy. Same utility-grade accuracy as Titan.
Yes. Titan Audit is a non-invasive energy logger — the split-core, clamp-on current transformers clip around live cables without breaking the circuit. No isolation, no permit-to-work, no production loss. This is the same measurement principle as portable non-invasive power loggers from Fluke, Hioki, or Megger, just on a permanent or semi-permanent installation.
Yes — that is the primary use case. Factories run continuous processes that can't be shut down for a fixed energy meter install, so an auditor needs a clamp-on data logger that goes live on a running line. Titan Audit clips around the existing cables, logs voltage + current + power + energy at user-defined intervals, and exports a BEE PAT-compliant PDF audit report from the Titan App. Unlike a rented portable logger, you can leave it installed for ongoing baseline measurement.
A voltage and current data logger records V, I, and derived parameters (power, PF, harmonics, energy) on a fixed timestep — typically with clamp-on CTs and either voltage probes or socket power. An energy meter performs the same measurement but is permanently wired into a panel for billing or fixed monitoring. Titan Audit is built to do both jobs on the same device: deploy it as a logger today, leave it as a meter tomorrow.
