1. Who we are

Tech OVN Private Limited (“Tech OVN”, “we”, “us”) manufactures Titan smart energy meters, energy monitoring hardware and IRIS EV chargers. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy applies to www.techovn.com and to the enquiries and support conversations we handle over WhatsApp, email and phone.

2. What data we collect

Via WhatsApp

When you message our official WhatsApp Business number, we receive and store your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, the content of the messages you send us (including any photos, documents or files you attach — for example site photographs, load details, purchase orders), and message metadata such as timestamps and delivery status.

Via email

Your email address, name, the content of your emails and any attachments you send, plus the correspondence history of the thread.

Via phone

Your phone number and the notes our team records about the enquiry or support issue discussed. We do not record calls.

Via our website forms

Name, email address, phone number, company name, the product or solution you are interested in, and your message.

Automatically, when you browse our website

Standard analytics data such as pages viewed, referring page, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type. We use Google Analytics for this. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.

We do not knowingly collect financial account credentials, government identity numbers, health data or other sensitive personal data through these channels. Please do not send such information to us over WhatsApp or email.

3. Why we use it

We use your data only for sales and support purposes connected to your enquiry or order:

• Responding to your enquiry and preparing and sending quotations.
• Processing orders and sending order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates.
• Providing technical support, installation help, warranty and service assistance.
• Maintaining a record of our conversation so you do not have to repeat context to a different member of our team.
• Meeting our legal, tax and statutory record-keeping obligations in India.

We send marketing or promotional messages only where you have opted in, and every such message includes a way to opt out. You can stop marketing messages at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or emailing us.

4. How and where it is stored

Messages and contact details are stored in our own customer communication and CRM systems, accessible only to authorised Tech OVN sales and support staff on a need-to-know basis. Access is protected by individual accounts and passwords, and data is encrypted in transit.

We rely on the following service providers to operate these systems. They process data on our instructions only, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with applicable Indian law and require the provider to maintain appropriate security safeguards.

5. We do not sell your data

Tech OVN does not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not share it with unrelated third parties, advertisers or data brokers.

We disclose data only in these limited situations: to the service providers listed above who help us operate; to our logistics and courier partners, strictly to deliver your order; to our authorised channel or service partner where they are fulfilling your order or service request; and where we are required to by law, court order or a lawful request from a government authority.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and conversation records for as long as needed to serve you, and thereafter for as long as we may need them for warranty, service and statutory record-keeping. Where an enquiry does not result in an order, we retain the record for up to three years and then delete it. Records connected to a completed order are retained for the statutory period required under Indian tax and company law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see below.

7. Your rights, and how to request deletion

You may ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal data of yours we hold.
• Correct data that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your data and your conversation history from our systems.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.
• Withdraw a consent you previously gave us.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may escalate it to us at the same address, and you retain the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

8. WhatsApp specifically

We communicate with customers through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. When you message us, WhatsApp delivers that message to our systems. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by the WhatsApp Privacy Policy, which is separate from this one. You can stop messaging us at any time, block our number from within WhatsApp, or ask us to delete your conversation history.

9. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies for analytics. Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop you from using the site or from contacting us.

10. Children

Our products and this website are intended for businesses and professional buyers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
